Visión Latino Theatre Company invites audiences into the Bloom new works process with a workshop presentation of ESTRELLAZO, a new play con música urbana by Nelson A. Rodriguez.

Manny, a young gay Puerto Rican reggaetonero, is on the edge of the biggest opportunity of his career. But during one unforgettable night in a Miami club, tensions between family, ambition, identity, loyalty, and the music industry begin to collide. As the possibility of superstardom gets closer, Manny is forced to confront what, and who he may have to sacrifice to reach it.

This workshop is part of Bloom, Visión Latino Theatre Company’s new works development process, giving playwrights and artists the opportunity to explore, develop, and strengthen new Latino stories on their journey toward full production.
